QUEENS PLATINUM JUBILEE OAK TREE

Map - The Queen’s Green Canopy (queensgreencanopy.org)

Lostock Gralam Parish Council Chairman, Tim Hodges along with the Lostock Gralam CofE Primary School Eco group and head pupils planted an oak tree on Friday 11th March 2022, at the Stubbs Lane play area in Lostock Gralam to mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee as part of the Queens Green Canopy (QGC) Project.

The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) is a unique, UK-wide, tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.The project seeks to enhance our environment by planting trees, with a focus on planting sustainably.

The Parish Council would like to thank the Mersey Forest Team and Ward Councillor Mark Stocks for supplying the oak tree for the NACO national tree-planting day. Thanks also to those who attended, including pupils from the Lostock Gralam Primary School.
