LSEP NEWS

 

LSEP Ltd is proposing to submit an application under S36C of the Electricity Act in order to vary the existing consent for the LSEP energy-from-waste facility, which is currently being built at the Lostock Works site near Northwich in Cheshire.

 

Public consultation launch

LSEP Ltd has launched a public consultation on the plans and feedback is invited before the 21 July 2026. During this time you will be able to learn more about the project and provide your feedback. You are invited to attend:

  • A drop-in public information day between 3-7pm on 8 July 2026 at Brio Leisure, Northwich Memorial Court, 1 Chester Way, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 5QJ.
  • Sign up on our website to attend an online Q&A held on Monday 13 July between 6 – 7pm.

Land west of Station Road
 
Dear All,
The Lostock Gralam Parish Council will be submitting comments on the proposed Station Road housing development.
 
If you would like to share your views, please come along to the next Parish Council meeting on Monday 6 July at 7.00pm. Time will be allocated at the meeting to hear residents’ comments, which will help inform the Parish Council’s response.
 
The meeting will be held at the Church Hall on Station Road.

Youth Group 
 
**VOLUNTEERS NEEDED**
 
We are looking for **3–4 volunteers** to help launch and support a new youth club for local young people.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in the community by helping to create a safe, fun, and welcoming environment where young people can enjoy themselves & socialise.
 
**We're looking for people who are:**
 
* Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic
* Good at working with young people
* Able to work as part of a team
* Willing to help with activities, games, and events
 
**No previous experience is required** – just a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved.
 
**Important Information**
 
* Successful volunteers will be required to undergo a **DBS check**.
* **Safeguarding training** is mandatory and will be **provided**.
* Volunteer commitment is flexible, depending on your availability.

Mobile Library

The Cheshire West and Chester mobile library vists the parish every three weeks on a Tuesday. The library van parks on Stubbs Lane at 12.25pm to 12.45pm.

CHRISTMAS LIGHT SWITCH ON 2024

 

 

 

We hope everyone enjoyed this years Christmas tree light switch on, which was  held on Friday 22nd  November 2024!

 

The Lostock Gralam Parish Council would like to say a huge thank you to the following;

 

-Eastfield Pharmacy for switching on the lights.

-Lostock Gralam Primary School and their Choir.

-CWAC Cllr Mark Stock for his Members Budget grant.

-PCSO Hambleton who gave up his night off to provide the music and lights in the church hall.
