Parish Councils are the first tier of local government and close to the community they serve. They are elected bodies with statutory and discretionary powers and rights to represent their communities and provide services for them. The number of Councillors is fixed by the local Unitary Council. Lostock Gralam is warded and has 8 members for Lostock Gralam ward and 2 members for Lostock Green ward.

Currently, Lostock Gralam Parish Council has 9 members, details of which can be found below. The Chairman and Vice-Chairman is elected each year in May. If anyone is interesting in standing for the Parish Council please contact the Clerk for further information.
